2011 THEME: Overcoming Critical Global Challenges with Modeling & Simulation
MODSIM World is a unique multi-disciplinary international conference for the exchange of modeling and simulation knowledge, research and technology across industry, government and academia.

The fourth annual MODSIM World Conference & Expo, held October 13–15th, 2010 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in Hampton, Virginia, was a tremendous success this year. It was our strongest conference yet. This year’s theme, 21st Century Decision-Making: The Art of Modeling & Simulation, drew over 400 conference attendees, and over 700 students, parents and teachers were inspired at our STEM Education events held on Wednesday, October 13th and Thursday, October 14th. Please take a moment to peruse the conference photos, videos and testimonials.

Attendees started their day on Thursday, October 14 with an engaging and thought-provoking set of ideas on modeling and simulation. MODSIM World 2010 was proud to host a Salon filled with TED-type talks as part of the Conference and Expo. The Salon, developed in collaboration with NASA Langley Research Center and the National Institute of Aerospace, featured recognized leaders in their respective fields providing unique talks on the theme Modeling and Simulation - Ideas That Matter. In the spirit of TED—riveting talks by remarkable people, free to the world—the presentations lasted approximately 10 minutes each. Selected talks are available on the TEDxNASA site.
