The Human Dimension Track

The Human Dimension Human Dimension Track

Understanding the human dimension cuts a broad swath; from individual thought and action to human behaviors in complex systems. This track seeks papers that:

  • Model/simulate individual human performance (information seeking and monitoring, decision making, and controlling), and behavior (including the influence of affect on behavior)
  • Human participation in complex human/machine and/or social systems

Papers should address the utility of models and simulations for addressing practical human behavior-based problems such as:

  • Characterizing individual differences;
  • Predicting human performance and errors;
  • Designing and evaluating human/system integration and human/ automation interaction;
  • Designing teams and evaluating team performance;
  • Predicting communication dynamics, and other emergent social behaviors.

Equally important are methodological papers that provide innovative approaches to requirements definition, validation and verification, data collection and analysis for models and simulations of human and social models and simulations.
